The sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a severe negative impact on the global economy. On February 19, 2020, Shandong Bozhong Vacuum Equipment Co., Ltd. changed its name to Shandong Bozhong Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd. Its business scope has been amended to include: design, manufacture, and sale of vacuum pumps, water pumps, vacuum dryers, vacuum units, and complete sets of vacuum equipment; import and export of goods; research and development, manufacture, and sale of mechanical compression evaporators, water treatment systems, MVR systems and equipment; technical consulting services, technology development and sales, and related after-sales services; contract energy management services; equipment installation and packaging; equipment maintenance and commissioning; equipment installation training; technical training; and catering services. (Projects subject to approval according to law.)

On February 10, 2020, the very first day the company officially resumed work, it received an urgent order from Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the procurement of liquid-ring vacuum pumps and Roots vacuum pumps. The equipment purchased is intended for use in the company’s production of the Lianhua Qingwen series of pharmaceutical products. During the nationwide all-out fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic, the Lianhua Qingwen series of medicines was listed as a recommended treatment in the “Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Pneumonia Caused by Novel Coronavirus Infection (Trial Version 4).” The company immediately organized production and, within just three days, swiftly completed the manufacture of the equipment required by Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical. With the cooperation of Zibo Hongjia Logistics, the equipment was delivered to the customer on time on February 14.
